On the 11th of last month, of cholera, Samuel Test, Jr., aged 51 years. This dear Friend was a useful member of White Water Monthly Meeting, and discharged for a number of years the responsible duties of an overseer, much to the satisfaction of his friends. He was unassuming in his manners, diligent in business, serving the Lord. Soon after he was taken ill, he had his family collected, and informed them that for some time past he had been impressed with the belief that his end was approaching, and that the disease with which he was ten afflicted would close his life. With much composure and resignation he gave them the necessary instructions concerning his affairs, with suitable counsel. His memory is precious to all who knew him. "Blessed are the dead which die in the .Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may restfrom their labours, and their words do follow them."
