Mrs. Laura Dean Spencer, 81, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Dean Test of near Frederick Monday morning after a brief illness.

She was born in Columbiana county, Ohio, on July 3, 1858, moving with her parents to West Branch, Ia., in 1861. Twenty years later she was married to Joseph B. Dean. Two children survive: Mrs Test of Frederick and William L. Dean of Winship. Two grandchildren, William Dean Test of Chicago and Howard Raeburn of Minneapolis, also survive. Mrs. Spencer was a member of the friends church of West Branch, Ia.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Johnson Funeral home with the Rev. A. L. Curtis of the Congregational church in charge. Burial will be at Riverside.

Mortuary Notice:

Last rites for Mrs. Laura Dean Spencer were conducted Wednesday at the Johnson mortuary by the Rev. A.L. Curtis of the Congregational church. Ben Schaub sang two songs, accompanied on the organ by Merritt Johnson. Paul Howard, Harry Peterson, Earl Keeler, John Rawson, Sanford Humphries and Albert Peterson were pall bearers. The body was buried in Riverside cemetery.
