Erastus Test
"The first Friends school of record in Indiana was opened at Whitewater (Richmond) in 1811-1812 under a standing committee whose duty it was 'to care for schools.' When the first log meetinghouse was vacated in favor of a new brick building this school appears to have continued in the old log meetinghouse until about 1836, after which the school continued as Friends Academy. The academy was first taught by Isaac Hiatt. He was followed by Barnabas C. Hobbs, William Haughton, Hiram Hadley, Erastus Test, and Cyrus W. Hodgin"
